Sitting out back in the shade the other day just before sunset, I saw a bright orange Dragonfly sitting on a branch. I've seen them down at the creek on many occasions but to see it here in my backyard, I figure it must have a message.
The first thing that popped into my head was the winds of change, then I recalled they are a messenger reminding us to see beyond the illusion of what we think is real.

The Dragonfly is one of my totem beings. I love spending time by the creek and always enjoy watching the dance of the Dragonfly. When I think of this Dragonfly in our backyard a few miles from the creek, I believe it is telling us something. There is no doubt we have been enjoying the winds of change, as I have been unemployed for about a month now.
It's an interesting experience being let go from your position. It is upsetting and unsettling when you did not see it coming and are told you did your job, you just don't "glow" like you did when you were hired. I was shocked and surprised and only now a month later can I really say, I am ready to move on! Sure, I've been looking for work since than, but only today do I feel I was really able to cut the cords and allow something fabulous to come in.
The illusion for me is that any job is my provider. G.U.S. (God Universe Spirit) is my provider, Source is my provider! I have felt for quite a few years now that G.U.S. puts me where my energy is needed. So to me this beautiful Dragonfly was reminding me that there is no loss, but only opportunity approaching and waiting for me to allow it in.
