Happy Halloween

It has been a while since I last wrote.  I've had major issues with my i-phone pictures since the last upgrade.  Although I have taken a few amazing pictures to share, the only way to get them here is to send them to my e-mail address and then upload them to my computer and on and on.  This was frustrating to me, thus every time I was prepared to post a note, the laborious process impeded me.  Today, I decided it was time to take a break from my other writing and finally get back to my Wonder Filled Moments.

Since I last wrote I spent a luxurious 3 hours at the creek with a friend.  We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of other people and were able to experience the fullness of nature.  From the sounds of the birds to the ripple in the water and oh, the beautiful reflection of the colors of the leaves in the creek water, breath taking.

We've received two boxes of yum yum produce, today's greens are a bit complex to me, so I must do research to determine how to use them.  How fun is that! ;)

We had a going away "for a while" party, for a friend.  It was so wonderful to have yummy food, good company, croquet in the backyard and a small fire under the stars.  Woo Hoo!

This week we had fun working/playing with the tourists and have been very prosperous.  Today, the staff where we had our jewelry show were all decked out in costume, that was fun to see.  One lady was Pippy Long Stocking, braided pig tails turned up!  I smiled every time I saw her.   Then I had lunch with a few friends and Hunny was able to join us. How wonderful is that!

Even though the energies of late have been a bit erratic, at the end of the day when I place my head upon the pillow I am so grateful for all of the love and beauty in my life.  My life continues to be full with many Wonder Filled Moments.

Completed!

Have you ever worked on something for so long that you wondered if you were ever going to complete it.  Then one day you look at all of the pieces and see how they fit together and it all makes sense.  I had one of those moments today.  It was my Wonder Filled Moment. ;-)

Simple Pleasures

I was sitting in the swing under the Lilac bush and looked up.  I felt like a little girl for a moment as I stared at the leaves, the way the light played on them as they danced and moved in the breeze.  Then a few moments later a flutter of wings and a flock of birds left the tree and circled the house before they flew off.  Wow, it is the amazing and simple things in nature that often allow me to fill wonder and often begin to dream.  Those were my Wonder Filled Moments of the Day.

Interesting occurances

As you may or may not have noticed I have not been posting my blog daily nor as often as I think about posting something.  Part of the reason is that I am having issues with either my computer or the internet on a regular basis.  When this occurs rather then get frustrated and upset (as can easily occur with me and computers) I've decided that it is a sign telling me that I do not need to write at this moment.  Today, is another one of those occasions.  Last night as well.

So although I continue to have many Wonder Filled Moments, I am not sharing them as much for reasons beyond my control.  Let me see if the pictures I wanted to share will show up now.  They did not earlier.  Nope, they do not want to attach here.  My Wonder Filled Moments yesterday were walking around the Medicine Wheel with a rattle and enjoying the trans like state created by the rattle.  As well as visiting with a friend and sharing our Yum Yum Produce.

Out for a drive

I was out for a drive at the beginning of September and pulled over to take this shot.  The texture in the clouds was amazing.  It is my Wonder Filled Moment today as I just found the picture on my phone and remembered that day.

Tea with Hunny

Another Wonder Filled Moment with my Hunny.  Hunny had been in the backyard working on his fence when I completed my project and decided to have a cup of tea.  I asked if he would like a cup as well and he responded yes.  Taking our tea out back to watch the final vestiges of the sunset was a real joy.  The red rocks were glowing and the temperature was dropping.  Bundled up in my sweater kept me cozy and warm until the wind picked up.  But it was a special moment and my WFM of the day.

My State of Mind

I can not believe it has been so many days since I last wrote.  It has not been because there have not been many Wonder Filled Moments because there have been.  It's just that I haven't felt like it.  It seems that time is escaping me in some way.  The energy of late seems to be quite intense, causing feelings of sadness without any reason to be sad.  Communication has not been easy either.  On a few occasions when I have responded in the affirmative to another they somehow heard something completely different and thought I was disagreeing with them.  It has been an interesting time and I am doing my best to be the observer of these situations and not get pulled into disagreements.  I trust that all is as it needs to be, whether I understand it or not.
A Titmouse, like on the bush I speak of.

Yesterday, I took the time to just sit in our backyard and be.  We live below the airport mesa and there must have been a celebration going on as I heard an announcer and some good ole rock and roll music.  But I did not want to listen to rock and roll.  So I got my phone and put on some drum music and quietly enjoyed that.  Upon completion of the ten minute journey music I removed the headphones and found myself surrounded by numerous birds singing.

The Raven of course caught my ear and then all of the little Titmice birds in the bush.  It was an amazing moment.  I watched them flutter between the branches and at one point there were two on the lowest branch just inches from the ground.  Then I noticed Kitty Chula, tail stiffly moving, eyes focused on the two birds.  They suddenly noticed her as well and moved onto a higher branch and then to the tree on the other side of the fence, as did many of the other Titmice that had occupied that bush.  It was a great moment and my Wonder Filled Moment of the day.

In the chaos of the world at large may you too find time to just be and to notice for a moment the beauty all around you.

Backgammon

Hunny and I played a few games of backgammon last night.  Hunny is an old prow at this game and it is something that I've only played to pass the time.  So, as you can imagine Hunny won all three games. At one point I had two checkers on the wall and twice rolled double sixes that I could not use.  I was simply happy to be spending time with my Hunny, those were my Wonder Filled Moments of the day.        In Gratitude, Linda G

Croquet and Chili

Elk Wicket
A friend of ours stopped over for a game of croquet and a yummy bowl of chili.  The afternoon was perfect.  Nice temperature, no jackets needed.  Hunny started off the game with a nice bump through the 1st two wickets.  When it was my turn I hit straight through the first two wickets as well.  Then I proceeded to hit Hunny's ball giving me two more chances to go through the third wicket and woo whoo I made it.  I led the game right through to the last wicket when I fumbled the ball and Hunny passed me up winning the game. Way to go Hunny!

On to a splendid chili with plenty of veggies.  Not to spicy, just a bit of a bite.  A Wonder Filled afternoon of friendship, croquet and Chili!

The Farmers Market is a wonderful place to meet people and enjoy all of the smells and colors of fresh produce as well as tasty treats from a few vendors.  Friday, may have been the last one for the summer season and they will soon begin on Sunday afternoons.  Hanging out with like minded souls, listening to music(some days) and purchasing yummy veggies and fruit were my Wonder Filled Moments of the day.
In Gratitude, (this weeks finds!  Multi-colored finger potatoes, Spaghetti Squash, Egg Plant, Yellow Onions, Pears, Apples and local raw Honey - mm,mm good ;-)
