Moments of Wonder.

I've been inspired to begin writing again and find I am quite surprised at how long it has been since I last wrote on this blog.  I have had many wonder filled moments in the last four years but there has also been some sadness and difficulty.  Most of which is simply a part of life.

One of my favorite wonder filled moments of the last four years is that I got married.  In 2014 Hunny and I had a beautiful April wedding in Sedona Arizona.  Having lived here for 13 years at that time I was very happy to have my Mom and other family see where I lived.

One of the difficult moments of that weekend was the realization that my Mom was not all there.  She had clear symptoms of the beginning of Dementia.  By June we were told that we needed to move her into Assisted Living before December.  With the help of my cousin Glorina we were able to get her into a new apartment by October of that year.  Although she has moved since then and there have been some ups and downs for the most part she is doing great.  I have since learned about what they call diabetic dementia and realize that is probably what is really occurring with her.  I don't know that the doctors say that but it seems pretty clear to me she is much better mentally when her blood sugar is low and balanced for a period of time.

Many of my wonder filled moments over the last four years has been Magenta, Our Wolf Dog.
OMG does she make us laugh.  She is a major photo bomber, jumping in front of the camera!  Of course she is often the reason the camera comes up.
Are you my new family?
I never had a dog before and Hunny tells me Wolf Hybrids are a bit more wild then other dogs and have a mind of their own.  (she was a rescue, so we do not know her actual mix, but Hunny has had wolf dogs before.)  I have no comparison so I just accept her as she is and of course, being the Alpha female I have learned that she needs to know I am in charge.  Than she can play and have fun and be safe.  We do have fun and she needs to get out every day, meaning we get our exercise too.
Shaking off
What?
I'll get it!

I can finally rest.
Kitty Chula
And of course we can not forget Kitty Chula!  Watching the two of them learn how to be around each other and get along without anyone getting hurt can be a bit of a hoot!  I see this 7 pound cat causing the 65 pound dog to look away and go down to her belly.  It's amazing.  I have also seen them looking out the windows together.
Always ready for action!

During the last four years I have had many many Wonder Filled Moments.  I have begun writing this blog again.  I do this to remind myself about all of those moments that are overlooked because of the stress of the day.  The Wonder Filled Moments blog focuses me on searching for that moment and by the end of the day I find I usually have many moments to chose from.

Look for those wonder filled moments in your life and share if inspired.

In Gratitude,
Linda G
