Quiet Morning in the Desert

Yesterday, a difficult morning had me heading to the desert for quiet time.  Chula, my kitty, had stressed me out going after her tail, and for some reason I just did not want to hear anybodies voice, not even Hunny. So I let him know I was going for a drive.  I knew the middle of the desert was the right place for me today.  Not even water sounds.

Here is the spot I landed.  I took my chair out put it in the shade, took a deep breath and looked up.
This is the view from my chair.  Not bad. It was quiet, just like I wanted.   I could not see the road and in the hours I was there only heard a few vehicles.  There was a soft breeze, and the temperature was very comfortable.  I was there for almost two hours.  No voices, no music, no sound, except for the occasional bird and breeze.

Below was the view to my right when I was sitting in the chair.
The beauty of the high desert is astounding to me.  The harshness of the rocks and brush forefront to amazing rock formations.  This time of  year we get to add the shadows from the clouds floating across the surface of the rocks and hills.  Not to mention how beautiful they are in the sky.

I had to include this picture!  On the way home I was driving slowly, taking my time and I saw this cloud.  I had to stop and take this shot.  Clouds during monsoon season take my breath away.  I didn't even notice the shapes of the trees until I got home.  Amazing!  Nature at it's best, those were my Wonder Filled Moments of the day.

In Gratitude,
Linda G
