Relaxing Creek Sounds




I’ve been feeling quite stressed lately, falling into that old pattern of thinking I have so much to do.  It was 60 degrees today.  I could not spend the day in doors.  So I took the afternoon off and went to sit by the creek.  Tissues in hand I was prepared to cry over all of the sorrow in my life.  Instead, I decided to do a Fire Ceremony.  I set sacred space by calling in the directions, I burnt sage and then I became quiet.  Although it was warm, it is January, and there were not the birds I usually see when by the creek.  But the sound of the water… flowing through sand and rolling over the rocks, singing such a beautiful song.   It calmed me.  I took numerous deep breaths and exhaled from the tip of my toes to the top of my head.   

The water sounds, fresh air to breathe and beauty all around me.  I was in Awe at the wonder of nature to take me from a bit of a frantic state to calm and happy in a matter of just a few minutes.  My wonder filled moment of the day, was listening to the creek, and watching the light play on the water, the leaves, the rocks...  Relaxing and flowing with the water.  Imagine it and you are there.  Just take a minute for you today.  Three deep breaths and you change your vibration to a more relaxed state.  Enjoy your day and thank you for sharing this space with me.
