Happy Sunday (Easter)

 It has been many years since I belonged to any church.  I find I am much closer to and connected to GUS (God Universe Spirit) when I am out in nature.  In honor of spring time we planted some flowers and herbs in the back yard.  My Wonder Filled Moments were digging in the dirt with Hunny and beautifying our yard.

Spring Buds

Nature is amazing.  With Spring the weather gets warm and plants come to life.   I think it is so cool to see how these leaves to the left start from a tiny little bud and now are beginning to uncurl into perfect leaves.

We have two lilac bushes and the smell in the yard surrounding them is amazing as the buds are preparing to open. 

Ahh, my Wonder Filled Moment was quite simple.  I was enjoying the sights, sounds and the smells of nature with out leaving home.  I am so thankful to life in a climate where spring truly does begin in March.

Taking time to chill

I was so tired after work that I did not have the energy to do anything.  So I took my book and laid down to read.  15 minutes of reading and it was time for a nap.  Upon my awakening, still a bit groggy, I decided to turn on the television.  I watched a couple of sitcoms and was laughing pretty hard.  If you’ve never seen “The New Normal” I recommend you give it a watch.  My Wonder Filled Moments, were having the time and ability to take a nap in the afternoon and watch a silly sitcom.

Home

As I drove into the red rock

My heart began to glow

My senses came alive as I felt my spirit grow

Life began anew as I wandered through the day

I found a place to keep my body as my spirit went to play

I plunge into my darkest depths returning to the light

With the knowledge and the wisdom of the heavens in my sight

The Sacred and the Silly

At one end of our backyard is a beautiful Medicine Wheel Hunny and I built.  The rest of the yard is filled with carefully spread out wickets some in the shape of Flamingos and Elk.  It’s where we have our “Mad Hatter Tea Parties” Crazy Hat Required.  We have two hat racks full of hats if you do not have your own.  Anyhow, that’s another story.  My Wonder Filled Moment was gazing at the yard and realizing the perfection of having a Medicine Wheel built right next to a fun silly game.  I love the metaphor, that spiritual work should be joyful work.

Enjoying Nature

This afternoon I sat in the backyard swing and enjoyed nature.  The clouds were amazing once again.  Today they looked like a train filled with children toys and animal beings and then it changed into a happy serpent peaking out from behind the trees.   I smiled as I watched them floating by.  Then listening to the birds in the yard and feeling the breeze on my face I noticed a tiny little Hummingbird.  It landed on a branch about 20 feet away from me.  Singing and singing away, chest fluffed out in a beautiful ruby red and then zooming across the yard from one spot to another making a triangle as he landed back where he began.  I tried to get a picture of him to no avail.  Yep, I love being out in nature.  My Wonder Filled Moments today, enjoying nature in my backyard.

Happy Serpent Cloud Being

Creek Sounds

Went down to the creek with a friend today.  We had a wonderful chat and were refreshed by the beautiful creek sounds.  I took a video of the creek to share with you.  This one is just under 2 minutes.  My Wonder Filled Moments of the day were hanging at the creek, bare feet to the ground, breeze blowing through my hair, listening to the sound of the water rolling over the rocks.

No more commercials

 

I bought an i-phone about 6 months ago and I finally transferred the music from my computer into i-tunes.  What an arduous process.  It took me about 6 hours to sync all of the music.  But I am very excited.  Now I can listen to the music I like without commercial interruptions.  I am one that does not know a lot about computers and these advanced phones, but I did it.  I transferred all the music I wanted.  My Wonder Filled Moments were playing with and listening to music.
