Remaining Calm

A dear friend called me from North Dakota.  I was so happy to hear her voice.  I was pleased that she loves her new position and that the people she is working with respect and appreciate her wisdom and skill.  We briefly discussed our previous work environment and how toxic it was.  It can take a while to heal ourselves from environments where we are not appreciated and are put down and held back from being our magnificent selves.  Through this conversation I remembered how fragile the ego can be and am thankful that I have healed from that toxic situation.  But even larger than that, was the memory of being challenged the other day, a few times, by some participants in a program I lead.  My Wonder Filled Moment is the realization that I can allow people to be in their space and not let it affect mine, even if it’s me they are questioning.  I think that’s a big woo hoo!

In gratitude,
Linda G
