A Gift From Hopi Land

Hopi sifting basket

When Hunny got home from work today he shared a beautiful story with me.  He gifted a baggy full of colorful feathers to his favorite Kachina Carver up at Hopi Land.  The young man was so delighted that he opened his back pack and pulled out a sifting basket. He said, “I want you to have this basket I got it from my Grandmother at the basket dance, she made it for me.”   As Hunny was telling me this story I felt the beauty and appreciation exchanged between these two people from different worlds and a heartfelt tear rolled down my cheek.  Then Hunny said and I want to gift it to you.  Awww, that was it, my Wonder Filled Moment a gift from a Hopi Grandmother, that found it's way to me.
In Gratitude,
Linda G
