A beautiful soul has left this planet. Although I am very sad, my Wonder Filled Moment was remembering her smile, the love she shared, her generosity and willingness to share. Allowing myself to feel the sadness and let the tears come rolling down and then realizing I had honored her in my own special way, by writing a poem for her in 2008 added to my Wonder Filled Moment. Good bye dear soul, I love you Candace.
Candace’s Secret Garden Café
Candace a gem of a person
A chef extraordinaire
A dash of this and a dab of
that
Her eyes twinkle as she
creates alchemy
With the wonders of her
food.
Magic is in the air of her
amazing garden as
She saunters to your table
to see what you desire
With a keen eye and an open
mind
You can see the pixies and
fairies dancing
Through the flowers and
around the pond
Satisfied and filled with
delight
Your visit to Candace’s
Secret Garden Café
Leave your taste buds
dancing for more
Until next time…

Linda, I printed a copy of your beautiful poem about Candace. I knew her as a client when I worked at Salon Virtu. I would like to take the poem to the salon, and share it with them tomorrow. I don't know how many will be available to attend her "Celebration of Life". Out of respect, I'll wait until after her Memorial, or after I hear from you! Blessings, Sharman Marchant
ReplyDeleteSharman, I would be honored to have you share my poem. Candace was loved by many. Thank you for asking first. In Gratitude, Linda G
ReplyDeleteLinda, Thank You. I feel the poem will be of great comfort to them! I printed it on paper handmade in India from cotton scraps, (that I've had for years and never printed anything on). The paper is wood-free, recycled, with a sepia tone. I'm describing this, because something magical happened when I printed the poem. It felt like it jumped off the paper, became alive, and took on a life of it's own. If you would like to see it, I'll be happy to mail you a copy. Thank you again! Sharman
