The Cone of Shame

A few weeks ago, Chula came home with an injured tail.  Well, it did not heal on it's own so last Wednesday she had to have it surgically repaired.  It has been quite the week. Playing the Nurse/Mama is quite the chore.  Feeling her pain, getting up in the middle of the night and wishing there was more I could do to help her, caused quite a few tears.  The most important thing for me to do this week was to be sure she left her tail alone.  Thus, the Cone of Shame (Elizabethan Collar), must be worn.  It was so sad to watch her bump into things and I even had to hold the bowl so she could eat.  After three days of no grooming I took off the Cone of Shame and allowed her to groom.  My Wonder Filled Moments were watching her take care of herself and then being able to put the E-Collar back on, and being able to sleep through the entire night.  Yeahhhhh!
In Gratitude,
Linda G
