Yesterday when I sat down
to write my blog I was interrupted by my cat.
Little Miss Chula had the stitches removed from her tail yesterday
afternoon. She was lying down in the
bedroom when I sat at the computer, but within minutes she came dashing out and
jumped into my arms. Her tail was so
tender that she was going a bit crazy.
While in my arms she kept trying to get higher on my shoulder until the
only thing on my chest was her tail.
When it bugged her she would hiss at it, growl at it and hold on to me
even tighter. After a few hours, I couldn't take it anymore. I
finally put her in her carrying case/cage.
She didn’t like that very much and when her tail irritated her she would
try to get it. With her growling and
hissing and then moving crazily after it I found myself sitting on the floor
next to her, talking to her to calm her down.
Finally, at about 10:00pm I called the vet. She told me that the suture was healed so she
really couldn’t hurt it. Keep the
e-collar on for a few more days and if necessary bring her in and we can wrap it again.
My Wonder Filled Moment
was knowing that she was unlikely to really hurt herself. She finally calmed
down when I let her out of the cage and
stayed in the bedroom with her so she could hold on to me. After a restless night, she is doing great today. She is leaving her tail alone and moving around the house like all is well.
In Gratitude,
Linda G
