Follow the Flow

I was thinking about life, the ups and downs and how things sometimes flow so easily and at other times seem like such a struggle.  It is the human experience, our way of learning what works for us and what does not.  Esther and Jerry Hicks in their book, The Astonishing Power of Emotions, Let Your Feelings Be Your Guide, talk at length about following the natural flow of life. They use the analogy of canoeing upstream and the futility of trying to get anywhere in the current.  How if you stop paddling and allow your canoe to turn and flow downstream everything you need will come to you.

On my last trip to the creek I watched a Leaf floating in the water and I remembered this book and their analogy and I watched that leaf, just following the flow of the water.  Around boulders, over rocks simply floating along, until it hit the rapids and went diving deep under the water, swirling around and dancing, before floating back up and doing it all again.  My Wonder Filled Moment was remembering that when things are not feeling comfortable we may have dove into the rapids and simply need to dance with the waters until we float to the surface and flow with the tides of our life once again.
In Gratitude,
Linda G
