Awakening

When I got my i-phone, I downloaded a Star Walk app. to assist me in identifying the stars I see in the sky.  In addition to that they share with me pictures of the Universe taken by some of the larger telescopes.  I found a few that were just so beautiful I decided to share them.  Looking through my poems I found one that I thought might be fitting, so have included that as well. 

AWAKENING

As I sit amongst the stars I ponder

I wonder if all beings know of their ability to fly

I wonder why it took so long for me to know myself

To know of my ability to see, to fly, to be a part of this vast universe

The wonder in a child’s eye as she looks to the heavens above

The lost vision of a young adult as they begin their own path

The questions they must have as they open their minds eye

The blindness we are trained to, for fear of what we know deep within

The time has come to face the fear, to open to your knowing

To let go of your learning and fly through the universe

We all have the ability, the strength and the power to be

To be a part of the ALL, if we allow ourselves to see!

My Wonder Filled Moment was imagining myself flying through space and witnessing the beauty of the Galaxies.  I think this one looks like a Hummingbird.  Amazing!
