Desert Snow

Snow on the Croquet Court/back yard

What a beautifully quiet day.  Snow coming down on and off throughout the day meant I had many wonder filled moments.  I love snow.  Growing up in Northern Minnesota we had lots of snow.  Seldom was it the kind of snow we get here in the desert.  Snow often came down sideways, as the wind was usually howling, causing piles of snow, snow drifts, rather than a nice soft blanket like we get here.  I also do not need to shovel the snow here as it will melt away.  The snow from yesterday has already melted off the trees and branches and is now soaking into the ground. My wonder filled moment today, was waking up to a white blanket of snow on the ground and then watching it snow off and on through out the day.

In Gratitude,
