Post Valentines Day

Valentines Day has not always been one of my favorite days.  Being in our 50’s when Hunny and I first got together he thought of it as a manmade holiday that did not deserve much attention anymore.  He had celebrated enough in his younger days.  I on the other hand had not been in relationships that offered me many gifts, so I wanted to celebrate our love even if it was a manmade holiday.  He accepted this and has been great ever since.

The other thing about my Hunny, is that he gets so excited to give gifts that he often gives the gift when he gets it rather than waiting for the specific occasion.  He waited until we were having coffee on Valentines morning to give it to me.  This beautiful fossilized Ammonite is from Madagascar.  He took the specimen with it’s beautiful spiral and set a fire opal in the center of it.  The opal blends so beautifully with the oranges in this piece that it looks like it belongs there.  When you turn it over you see a green tourmaline set in the center of the spiral.   He carefully drilled a hole through the Ammonite so that I could hang it around my neck.  Know that these pictures do not do it justice, it's beautiful.  My Wonder Filled Moment was the joy we shared in both giving and receiving our gifts. Much Love to you all on this beautiful day.
 In Gratitude,
Linda G
