Laughter

I know I was going to tell you about how wonder filled my trip to the Hopi Nation was, but I’ve decided I will write about that in my other blog as it will be a more in depth story of our experience, so here is my story for today.

My friend Lisa and I stopped at the kitchen store on the way home from work.  I was getting tired and I had what I needed so I decided to check out.  I was paying with a gift card I had received for my birthday, from Lisa and a few other friends.  Anyhow, the computer system at the store locked up.  They could not finish the transaction.  After a few minutes, I realized I had to go to the ladies room.  So I left Lisa in the store while they tried to figure it out.  I walked down the walkway to the bathrooms and I would guess it was 10 minutes I was gone.  They still had not figured it out.  They were now calling their technical support person.  While they were doing that I continued to walk around the store and look at things.  Lisa found something else to buy, and paid cash.  A lot of time had passed.  The store clerks were very nice, asking if they could make us popcorn, and apologizing.  We had just finished lunch, so no thank you.  How about a chair?  No chairs.  Finally, Lisa sat on the floor in front of the register.  I decided to join her.  Sitting in this location we saw all kinds of odd things that people do not need, a container shaped like an onion, for keeping onions in; some “stick-on people” to place on your glass at a party, to know which glass is yours. We thought they looked like ghosts, and we started laughing.  Then we saw something else, with a super funny name I can’t think of, that is to be used to slice and remove the Avocado from its skin.  It was something like the Avocadonater.  Then we were really laughing. So imagine two adult women in their 40’s and 50’s on the floor in front of the register at the Kitchen Store, laughing out loud. The other people in the store looked at us without smiling, which of course made us laugh even more.  Minutes after all of the laughter, the system started working.  My Wonder Filled Moment today was, sitting on the floor at the kitchen store laughing with a friend.
